When I lived in England a guy pulled a knife out on my friend and demanded his pizza...seriously

eta: my friend was drunk and dropped the pizza and smacked the guy in the head with the bottle of booze he was carrying in the other hand

...Depends what city you are examining. For example, NYC had an all-time high murder count of 2,245 bodies in 1990 versus a 45 year low in 2007 of less than 500 homicides. On the other hand, Detroit, Mi, is consistently rated top 5 most dangerous city every year (I drive through Detroit 4 times a week, a very interesting place).

...Places like Mexico, specifically border cities like Juarez and Tijuana, make Detroit look like Beverly Hills. They often chop peoples heads off and hang them over highway overpasses, burn people alive, dismember their victims, lots of torture, killing of family members, shootouts in broad daylight, you name it

Does this mean Mexico is producing better thugs than America is?

What are we, as Americans, going to do about it? We think Detroit it hardcore but they put Detroit to shame.

Is this yet another lead America is losing to the third world?

Fear not AJ, George W is busy at work getting more of the real thugs back on the street before he leaves office.

Not the ones that would just go after a single Pizza, but the ones that would extort corporations and entire industries.

Little thugs carry guns. Big thugs carry politicians.
