These guys ended up with $6.51 and about a quarter of a pie of pizza each.... and for that they may end up with a police record! I remember the 1990s when thugs were scarier. ####### happened???

EDISON —A pizza delivery man was held up for two pies and his wallet when a group of seven confronted him during a delivery at an apartment complex Monday night, police said.

The men surrounded the worker near Lyle Place and Beaver Avenue at about 8:30 p.m., demanding he give up the pizzas, Lt. Sal Filannino said. The worker handed the pies to one of the men, who then dropped the pizzas and pushed the worker against the car.

The same attacker demanded the delivery man empty his pockets, and the worker turned over his wallet containing $46, Filannino said. The seven men then fled with the pizzas, valued at $30.

A sign of the times?

A sign of the feminization of the American male... when a group of 7 can only come out with $6.50 each... freakin' pathetic.

Or it could be a sign that these young men have taken the envirofreak message against overconsumption to heart... and have decided that's all they need!

Fixored.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I think it was more along the lines of mob mentality - a group of guys saw this poor sap and decided to cause him grief.

So what's your take on the quality of thugs today versus those in the 90s?

I'm so happy you changed your avatar. Thanks!!!!!!

...Depends what city you are examining. For example, NYC had an all-time high murder count of 2,245 bodies in 1990 versus a 45 year low in 2007 of less than 500 homicides. On the other hand, Detroit, Mi, is consistently rated top 5 most dangerous city every year (I drive through Detroit 4 times a week, a very interesting place).

...Places like Mexico, specifically border cities like Juarez and Tijuana, make Detroit look like Beverly Hills. They often chop peoples heads off and hang them over highway overpasses, burn people alive, dismember their victims, lots of torture, killing of family members, shootouts in broad daylight, you name it:

November 2008

I would like to focus on the Mexican Drug Wars between the cartels and the Mexican government, led by President Felipe Calderon. There have been over 4,300 lives lost in Mexico's Drug War this year alone compared to nearly 2,500 last year. The 4,300 lives represents a number that surpasses the American Military death toll spanning 5 years and 8 months of war in Iraq and has Mexican police chiefs, soldiers, and mayors dodging assassination attempts on a regular basis. The corruption is unbelievably high and has infiltrated police, military, and government operations. Although not widely broadcast, on Election Day in the U.S., Mexico lost her second highest in command to a plane crash in Mexico City. Former assistant attorney general Luis Santiago Vasconcelos, who had a multi-million-dollar pricetag put on his head by the cartels, also fell victim to the crash. Two very close associates to President Calderon, investigation is still underway to determine whether the crash was planned or accidental. "In a scene that's become all too common, police officers removed the green, white and red flags from each of the coffins, folded them tightly, and then Calderon handed them to the victims' widows and children.

March 2007---Largest drug cash seizure in the world (Mexico City), weighing in at over 4,500 pounds, a whopping 207 million dollars found in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods of Mexico City, is this thuggish enough:
