Maybe it help that the two immigration officers were Fil-Ams. The other Asian immigration in the fingerprinting area --Korean I think--was rude and even told me to go home when she saw me walking around the area. But she smiled and said "Congratulations." when the second Fil-Am gave me my passport.

BTW, you have to declare everything. You'll be given a customs declaration card in the plane before you land. :)

It should read "Maybe it helped." :)

what time did you arrive at lax? for me will be there 8 am maybe not busy that time too...

01/13/08 we first met personally at NAIA airport

o1/21/08 became engaged

01/25/08 he flew back to FL.

04/10/08 papers sent to VSC

04/15/08 papers received to VSC

04/21/08 check cashed/ noticed receipt issued (noa1)

04/24/08 touched

04/25/08 noa1 hard copy received

05/21/08 touched

07/28/08 touched ( i was so excited if we will get approve )

07/29/08 touched ( but it was an rfe lol )

07/29/08 rfe sent from uscis and fiance received it through fax. actually he called that time to follow up our case and the woman said that we have our rfe so my fiance asked to send it through fax right away.

07/29/08 request documents needed sent to uscis

07/30/08 touched

07/31/08 Rfe's document was delivered at 12:50 PM. The item was signed for by P NOVAK.

08/01/08 touched=case resumed on process

08/03/08 touched ( not excited )

08/05/08 touched ( wonder why touched again lol )

08/13/08 NOA2 ( WERE APPROVED) :) THANK YOU LORD!

Claudeth went through LAX and had a very pleasant experience. She said the POE officer was very kind to her and understood her nervousness. He even assisted her with where she needed to go for luggage and the screening after that.

my flight is on dec. 19 and my poe is Losa Angeles CA. am a little bit nervous lol. IT's my first time to travel outside the country. Sinong nakaexperienced na dito na ung POE sa LA. please share your experiences. Thanks...

hi there, just wanna share my experienced in lax as my poe. I arrived 8pm there and there was a long queue of immigrants where i was instructed to go. The lady immigrant officer was not that nice but it's okay. She stamped my passport, instructed that I should marry my petitioner within 90 days. Then i took my only one baggage at the carousel but there was no inspection at the custom at all. One officer was kinda nice to me and showed me the other exit which is more convenient for me. Just pray that the LORD will bring good people into your life to help you always. Have a safe trip and God Bless!!!!

Timeline:

2-02-08: Honey arrived in Manila

2-04-08: travel down to my hometown, Zamboanga

2-07-08: Our Engagement day

2-27-08: 1129F sent to CSC

2-29-08: NOA1

3-02-08: first touch

7-11-08: 2nd touch- APPROVED!!!!

7-14-08: received email from CRIS that our petition has been approved July 11'08

7-16-08: received hardcopy of NOA2 in our mailbox

7-23-08 hard copy from NVC

7-28-08 paid delbros for DV

8-19-08 medical (LORD, pls. keep me physically fit)

8-27-08 Interview, got pink slip, praise God

9-05-08 received my visa, had my CFO the same day

9-06-08 flight to US, POE LAX

11-08-08 wedding day

11-12-08 ssn application under my husband's name

02-26-09 sent AOS packet to Chicago Lockbox thru USPS Express

My POE was also LAX last year and it was an easy experience.The Immigration officer took the brown packet, asked few basic questions, took my picture and fingerprints then he reminded me to get married within 90 days. Good luck and Have a safe trip!!! :thumbs:

what other docs should i brig with me n my carry-on aside from the packet? how about pictures?? or they don't usually ask for it?

Hello, my POE was LAx and immigration officer was very nice to me, he did not ask question about me and petitioner, just told me that my fiance and I need to get marry before the visa expire. They are nice there. Dont worry and just passport and visa packet, that's all. Have a safe, happy trip! happy Holidays!

They only ask for the passport w/ visa, the visa packet, the I-94 form for non-immigrants and the customs declaration form.

Stewardess will ask to you if you need, just tell her that you have visa and you need that form I-94 form for non-immigrants and a customs declaration form. Be sure to bring pen, so that You dont need to borrow.

Customs declaration form lang ang finill-up ko. No need for immigration form. Just submitted my passport, packet and customs form at immigration. :)
