The live right near the beach, but I don't know if its 3rd beach or 1st beach, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Oh word of advice, don't go clamming without a permit. We found that out the hard way and got caught by the authorities who informed us it's not only illegal to gather clams in R.I. (or anywhere probably), but it's also a felony offence. We were lucky and got off after he realized by brother had just moved there...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

however quahogs are a different story...we used to go digging(with our feet) for quahogs on Ocean drive in Newport...we called to ask if we needed a permit first...and they said, if ya can find em there...then you can keep em.

Lobster traps are absolutely off limits...even if one washes ashore you don't touch it!!

Dels lemonade is the best stuff ever and Rhode Islanders are the worst drivers in the entire world!!

Apparently my boys 6 and 8 became addict to that lemonade on my wife's last trip (could not go being at that point in the process )

For a couple of weeks after they came back they kept asking for it.
