No News about Green Card

Hi All,

I am not new to the forum but have been a silent member for a few years. I applied for petition of removal of conditions i.e. for a permanent green card in Feb 2007. In Mar 2007 I got my biometerics done. In Mar 2008 I got a Transfer Notice from USCIS that my case has been transferred from the Nebraska Service Center to the California Service Center. As if now December 1st 2008 I have not got any reply or answer from them. I have called the hotline number and they have put a service request for me. I wanted advice from the forum members what other options do I have. Should I contact an immigration lawyer, talk to my congressperson. Anything would help. I am hanging on a very thin thread here.

You can make an infopass appointment at your local office and ask then to find out what is holding up your case. There is no way it should be taking 1 year and 9 months to be processed.
