Or are you interested in seeing that people in this situation do not face deportation through no fault of their own?

We are working very actively on this issue and trying to find families who are affected to help build support for reform in Congress. You can read more here:

Thanks,

We sweated this out with my adult stepdaughter. We filed the K-1/K-2 petition while she was 17 years old. They arrived in the USA after she turned 18 years old. Fortunately her AoS was approved when she was 19 years old. We filed the I-751 to remove conditions before she turned 21 years old. Her removal of conditions and 10 year Green Card issuance actually occurred after she turned 21 years old. At the time I worried that it might be a problem that conditions had not been removed before she turned 21 years old, but the I-751 was approved without any problem. Actually we didn't file a separate I-751 for her, but let her ride on my wife's I-751 as a dependent child.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995
