Frankly, I'm finding this torture to be unbearable, is anyone in our situation? we sent our papers on April 28th, we have a receipt date of May 3rd, we are approaching our seventh month and nothing; the last time our case was touched was September 30th and that may owe to the fact we asked our congressperson to check on our case.....

Hi Antonio and Olga,

We are on the same situation, we filed on April 28th and have NOA of May 2nd, last touch was July 18th. I have called USCIS and placed an " Action Request" which they gave me 45 days so they can look at our AOS petitions, if that's not the case I have to call again. As of now since I place the "action Request" they would not give me any extra information.

Whats frustrating is that I see lots of people that file weeks or months after us and they are getting their GC, which is good and I feel happy for them on the other hand I feel left out sitting in the limbo.

Frank, thanks for taking the time to reply....this is one of those cases where misery loves company, not that I'm glad you don't have your papers, but that we are not alone or there is something bad about our case. You verbalized my frustration too, others who've filed months after we have already have their GC...why we are being singled out I don't know...but you gave me an idea and I will call Monday morning to do a similar "Action Request" thanks again

I called today and they said they could not do a Service Request because we filed on April 28th and Indianapolis (where my case is, is working on April 4 so we must wait 24 more days and call back. It did not help telling them another couple filing at the same time we did had this granted.

Also, I'm being kicked around like a soccer ball, I was told my case was in California, a month ago we called and was told it was in Nebraska, now I'm told it's in Indianapolis...many times I wonder about these people and whether they truly know what they are talking about.

Infopass does not seem to apply to me, of the four situations below only (4) would seem to apply to me and I don't have a Service Request ID..how do I obtain one, how do I contact the NCSC? ...please let me know

1) Order from Immigration Court

2) Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

3) EAD inquiry appointment

4) Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

Antonio and Olga

Have you checked on USCIS website to see where you case is at?

For instance, my case is at NBC (Missouri) on the many times I called USCIS they told me 3 different times that I should wait few more months because Miami's office are still working on March filers, until I called for the last time and I explained to the lady of USCIS that no to base herself on the timeline of Miami nor California , that she should take a look at Missouris time line and that my application is being seatting there for over 6 months, that's when she understood and send an "action request". If your case is similar to mine do the same, this people at USICS are not experienced they based them selves on what the website is telling them, just be nice and friendly not too demanding, let me put it this way I literalybegged her to do that.

I hope this advice helps you. Good Luck and Happy TXGiving.

Its from the customer service thru phone and the representative that you talked to should give you a service request number that she/he really did made a request. But either way if im in your case I will still go even after I called the USCIS customer service. Just me. Good luck to your case
