Hi all. I am not sure but i did receive a letter from the United States Department of Sate National Visa Center telling me that ty received an approved I-129F petition file on my behalf and that within a week the petitiion will be forwarded to the visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place. Is this notice the NOA2? I received this on May 4, 2006 and as of today my fiancee has not received a packet on how to apply for her visa. Just wondering how long it may take till she does. She lives in the Philippines. Any feedback you can give me will be greatly appreciated. God bless, Louie

No that is not NOA2. NOA2 takes place before that. After NOA2 it goes to the NVC and then to the beneficiary's consulate. So you are missing an NOA2. Looks like it was approved but you need the paper stating such.

I see in your signature you got an approval on April 13, that is NOA2.

Once NVC forwards the petition to the US Embassy Manila, your fiancee in the Philippines can call the US Embassy Manila Call Center to see if the petition is received there. This usually takes a week from the the receipt of your NVC letter. Your fiancee can call this same number to check for an interview date or when her Packet has been sent. It now takes about 4 to 5 months from the time the petition is received in Manila to the interview date.

And yes you still need a copy of your NOA2 which should be mailed to you by USCIS. This is need for your AOS. Good luck! (F)
