Hey guys, I applied for a K1 Visa and have been waiting over 3 months since it was submitted to the processing center.

Anyways, I was doing well for myself, a $65k career /w benefits and own a house I was renting out (which I bought last year). Now that the economy has gone to the crapper, I'm afraid of losing my job, not being able to make my mortgage payments. There have been talks of cut backs and layoffs at my company.

To make things worse my tenant who war renting my house left and I haven't been able to find another tenant for the last two months ... so I'm afraid of losing the house.

I'm afraid that if I lose my job, will my petition get denied? Nothing is official yet, but the thought of losing my job and the fiance process being delayed or denied keeps me up at night.

What if I change my job before I lose my current one? I have a potential offer from another great company but I'm not sure what it would do to the fiance visa.

I'm desperate. I would much rather live in a third world country my whole life with my fiance than have to wait a year here without her.

Thank you.

Take a look at the I-134 and associated instructions. Losing your job before you complete the I-134 would mean you would need a co-sponsor. Losing your house has no impact on the visa process. Changing jobs is not a problem at all.
