IMPORTANT NOTICE TO IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICANTS CONCERNING VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

United States immigration law requires immigrant visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations (listed below) prior to the issuance of an immigrant visa. Panel physicians who conduct medical examinations of immigrant visa applicants are required to verify that immigrant visa applicants have met the vaccination requirements, or that it is medically inappropriate for the visa applicant to receive one or more of the listed vaccinations:

-- Acellular pertussis

-- Hepatitis A

-- Hepatitis B

-- Human papillomavirus (HPV)

-- Influenza

-- Influenza type b (Hib)

-- Measles

-- Meningococcal

-- Mumps

-- Pneumococcal

-- Pertussis

-- Polio

-- Rotovirus

-- Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids

-- Varicella

-- Zoster

my question are:

1. do i really have to complete all these vaccinations before leaving?

2. can these vaccinations be availed to any clinics who offers these kinds of shots?

3. can i have these done in US instead here in the Philippines?

my question are:

1. do i really have to complete all these vaccinations before leaving? Depends on your age, sex and whether you have had some of the shots before. Look up the requirments on your embassy website.

2. can these vaccinations be availed to any clinics who offers these kinds of shots? Depends on the Philippines, I can have mine done at any clinic if they offer them. Or you could have them done at the medical.

3. can i have these done in US instead here in the Philippines? Yes, as long as they are done before AOS. (Unless, as before, there are different requirements in the Philippines)

You won't need them all. SLEC will provide most of what is needed and they are included in the fee for the medical. They are not all available at SLEC. You can get the additional vaccinations in the US before applying for AOS.

Get all your shot in PI.

It is so much cheaper in PI.

Also go to dentist and make sure you don't need any fillings or crowns. It cost a arm and leg in USA to get Medical and Dental work.

My wife had her wisdom teeth pulled last month in USA for new braces, it cost us $1.000 ( 45,000 php), I could of had it done in PI for about $20 to $50

when i held my medical i had my braces on....and they don't care about it and braces in the phils cost 45,000 to 50,000 ($1,000)

what the deal was, i talked to my husband regarding my braces, since i haven't been done with my treatment,my husband ringed up

one or two ortho near by us (states) asking about the condition of my braces.....

so what i did i gotta request or letter coming from my ortho in the philippines that i am not yet done with my braces treatment and i will just have

to continue it here in states.......

well yes still much cheaper in the philippines...............

anyway every person has a different senario............

good luck to all of us...
