Hello-- a few financial support questions:

1). When your cosponsor is filling out the I-134, for number 10, they don't put anything, right? Since he/she is not actually the person submitting the visa application? Or do they put the name of your foreign fiancee since he/she is your cosponsor of this person?

2). Do they also put N/A for number 11 like in the sample on this website?

3). I'm currently in Mexico and was wondering if it is sufficient to have your banks send you emails or to print up your statement from online and then go to the embassy and get it notarized? Or do you need an official letter on bank letterhead or something like that?

4). I have a fixed term CD with my bank. Does that go under "stocks and bonds" or "deposit in savings bank?" What about an IRA?

Thank you in advance for any advice!

2). Do they also put N/A for number 11 like in the sample on this website? Most co-sponsors select "Do Not" (unless they are going to make contributions).

3). I'm currently in Mexico and was wondering if it is sufficient to have your banks send you emails or to print up your statement from online and then go to the embassy and get it notarized? Or do you need an official letter on bank letterhead or something like that? If your income is sufficient - you really do not need to disclose banking information. If you are going to submit banking information - a web-printout should be ok. A notary would not do anything - they only certify signatures.

4). I have a fixed term CD with my bank. Does that go under "stocks and bonds" or "deposit in savings bank?" What about an IRA?Again - if your income is sufficient you do not need to disclose this type of informtion - can be used (of course) to make up any shortfall in income.

Thank you in advance for any advice!

I put NONE but if you look in the 'example forms' tab in between 'downloads' and 'processing times', and select 'Form I-134', VisaJourney suggests to put:

Name = "fiance's name (Filing now with I-129F petition)

Relationship to visa beneficiary = (if your dad is the cosponsor put sons fiancée (or daughters fiance)

Date submitted = Date submitted

2). Do they also put N/A for number 11 like in the sample on this website?

Visa Journey puts N/A on the sample, I did it differently....

I checked the "I INTEND" box and put "ALL LIVING EXPENSES"

My cosponsor (my dad) checked "I INTEND" and put "ROOM AND BOARD"

3). I'm currently in Mexico and was wondering if it is sufficient to have your banks send you emails or to print up your statement from online and then go to the embassy and get it notarized? Or do you need an official letter on bank letterhead or something like that?

If you did not have a cosponsor then I would imagine you would need official documentation. But since you have a cosponsor, they will be looking at his tax returns to determine if you guys can provide the required financial support. Printed online is fine, that's what I did, and I just stapled it to my notarized I-134.

4). I have a fixed term CD with my bank. Does that go under "stocks and bonds" or "deposit in savings bank?" What about an IRA?

CD is a Certificate of Deposit, basically a savings account that accumulates better than average interest, so it goes under "I have on deposit in savings..." An IRA I am not sure, either or, up to you...

Thank you in advance for any advice!
