The agency estimates that for 2005, the last year for which figures are available, about $9 billion in taxes was paid on about $75 billion in wages from people who filed W2 forms with incorrect or mismatched data, which would include illegal immigrants who drew paychecks under fake names and Social Security numbers.

You don't listen do you. Must be your thick skull. How can the United States IRS possibly determine how many people are being paid under the table / cash in hand?

Probably a bad question to ask you because you have about the same level of common sense as the guys from Jackass. Do you honestly think most businesses would risk having illegal immigrants on their payroll? Or would they rather pay them cash in hand so there is no direct link to them.

PS are you posting in a large font because you are retarded or what.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Don't think anyone would want to be illegal. But honestly like everyone tell me before I do this all legal. The illegals get here faster and have more rights than the ones who do it legally and also they don't have to pay any income tax so go figure. The system is only setup to protect the illegals and persecute the ones that do it legal.

While I mostly agree with you, the part in the bold has been stomped all over so many times now.. illegals do pay income tax, dude.

All they pay is FICA because they usually list so many dependants that nothing else gets taken out.My question is where does all this money go becasue obviously they can't file income tax.

Quite honestly, I don't know. But where it should go is back toward the areas that illegal immigration hurts most, like local government departments which get drained by illegals, such as education and health.
