Green Card Received with Mistakes

My husband's green card came with a typo in his name. I was wondering a few things. One being that we will be moving in the next month or so and if I update our address with immigration will the green card come to the correct address? Can it be forwarded if it goes to the old address? Also, how long does it take to receive the new card? I know immigration says give it at least 6 months but I was wondering if any of you have had experience with this and the length of time it has taken.
