I called my airline, they said it's fine to have my married name on tickets as long as I have my marriage licence with me.. Can I change my passport name while in my home country? There are so many different opinions. Has anybody done that? I'm so freaking confused. I just don't feel like being stuck again...

Depends on where you are from - In colombia (My wife's country) they just stamp a married stamp in the old passport and put the married name in there (we haven't done it yet.) We will just travel with her unmarried name in the passport and married name on Green card and carry a marriage certificate if someone questions it. P.S> I bought tickets in her unmarried name (matching her passport.) Good Luck

June 10 Oath Ceremony - Teikyo Loretto Heights, Denver, Colorado

July 7 Received Passport in 3 weeks

Shredded all immigration papers Have scanned images
