I'm very hopeful for you guys, I just don't want to see you guys get your hopes up super high to get crushed again (like I did when I got a similar email) When I emailed them in August they said I was on the list, that they had noted my early October wedding and that I was to be scheduled soonest for an interview. That all turned out to be a bunch of garbage. I really hope its not for you, especially with what they did to you last week, but I wanted to let you know they said the same thing to me...I think they just say it to get us off their backs (not that it worked once mid Sept rolled around and there was still no interview in sight)

This was my email to them in August

This is an inquiry to our case. We have recently returned the info packet for our K1 Visa. I wish to confirm receipt to your embassy of our package.

As well we do have a request if possible. Our wedding is scheduled for 1st week of Oct, and my fiance has time scheduled off of work for the event as well as to come up to Canada to escort me in my drive across country. As this was scheduled in advance it will not be easy to reschedule so we were hoping that we could request and interview date some time around or prior to the 15th of September. I understand that there are no guarantees, but if you could note our account, we would appreciate it.

Thank you in advance for your reply

And their reply

Please be advised that once we receive your paperwork your case will be placed on a waiting list for an appointment.

I have noted your file that you have an early October wedding and therefore will be scheduled soonest and advised

by mail of the appointment date. Thank you for your patience.

You have ruined the irony of my signature. ><

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

most soon of everyone! If he's soon, she's sooner, you're soonest!

Based on Danu's letter too, they are not using it properly.

To me being scheduled soonest would mean I must call tomorrow, I'm right at the top of the list.

OP6

At least it sounds like OP 6 answers in sentences. I have noticed that OP 5 an OP 1 only type a few words in their replies, so that sounds like an improvement.

By the way, my package 3 got to MTL a day late. It was priority AM, which meant it should have gotten there on October 1, Friday morning. I called Canada Post and today I received a check for the full refund. So that was the good news for the day.

Not sure if these pictures will work, but I'll try anyway...something to enjoy for us Canucks.

Below is a pictures of a female moose (cow) that my fiance took during our trip to Algonquin this Thanksgiving. This will be what I will miss when I leave here, I think.

Enjoy!
