I've got another quick question that doesn't really qualify a topic.

So I got all my passport photos done at the same time, and I've now realized that was a really stupid idea.

3 of them have dates stamped on the back for April.

Are they THAT picky about the dates? Or if they see nothing's changed will they take them? I would give these 3 to the medical, since I'm not sure how picky they are.

I still look the exact same and I also got my Canadian passport photos done at the same time.

If they wont take them, do you think my Walmart would re-do them for free if I claim they're not good enough? (Since I know they do guarantee them) That's more like a dream, but still

Thats a good question...I know they wanted recent ones for my medical so I got all mine done for the medical and interview at the same time. Will they have an issue now that the photos are almost 2 months old?

Ugh, I better go see if Walmart can re-do them then, or else I have 6 EXPENSIVE useless photos sitting around.

I wonder if I can do something like scan them, get them printed out onto normal photo paper and just cut them down to size myself... but that sounds kind of illegal for some reason.

And I think as long as they're less than 6 months old from the interview date they're fine. According to my P3 anyway.

Mine weren't even date stamped... they never asked. I really doubt they'd care, as long as the pictures match.

And Tina, as per the packet 3, mine took 9 days to get to me from the day they mailed it. I don't know why, but I guess they like to use the super slow method

Well, I'll TRY with the date stamped ones. I'm sure there's a place I can get them done super fast if I have to.

And they'd match the ones in my petition.

I have no clue why Walmart date stamped them.

I can even show them my passport, it has pictures with the exact same shirt and it was done at the same time, yet those are valid 5 years?

So I just realized my NOA2 expires on the 7th. I know its no need to panic but I emailed them to request the extension just incase (I know that they usually extend the NOA2's automatically but hell, I dont trust them)

When places, like Walmart, take passport photos, they're required to date stamp them. Many places, i.e. the passport office, DO require them to be taken within a certain length of time, so photos can be rejected if there is no date. The medical office requires photos taken within 30 days, for example. You never know when you might get someone strict enough to care about the date. I don't know if, at this point, Walmart will redo them for you since it's been a while. It's definitely worth a shot though, because with the stamp it will also have the store info so they can tell you got them done there. I used to work at the Walmart Portrait Studio, where passport photos are taken, so I know. :P lol

I think it's absolutely horrific that Montreal can't even get interviews booked before the damn NOA2 expires. That's f'ing RIDICULOUS.

Mine was way expired by the time I had my interview and I never did anything and they automatically extended it, no worries.

Amen.

Maybe today will be the day for everyone waiting..... maybe....

Somedays I feel like driving up there and throwing things at them until they schedule interviews for all the poor VJ people who've been waiting so damn long.

Sharp things.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."
