Hi guys.. I'm a lil' confused as to what exactly to send with my packet 3, and i'll appreciate if someone could help me out hehe.. is it only the checklist , Ds 230 and DS 160? Do we only take all the documents to the interview? Also one more question.. Can I book my medical exam already even though i don't have an interview date yet.. Cuz in packet 3 it says to bring ur appointment letter.. and i wasn't sure what that was.

Thanks so muchhh in advance for your help =)

Go ahead and book your medical now, I waited about a month to book mine and the nearest date I could get was 5 weeks later ( this if for the TO clinic).

Hello and welcome!

Yeah those are the documents you need to send back. Don't forget to sign and date your checklist, DS-230 is only part I and DS-160 is the online form. before starting DS-160, make sure you have a picture to upload (you can take it yourself with a white background) and a working printer! They don't say that you have to send a confirmation copy but I still did.

As for the medical, yes you can book it now. All you need is your passport, your MTL # and your vaccination record.

Good luck and please fill in your timeline!

Actually Muffin, California is the fastest service center right now! It seriously took you 8 months to get your NOA2? That's insane. Any idea why that could be the case? It took us a little over 3, that's it.

On the government website they posted that they have received doubled of application during month of July 2008, from the usual 1.2million to 2.4 million

After seeing hapycloud got her interview date and that we have the same packet 3 logged date, I gathered up enough courage to call DOS (never done it before) and I got the same date!! July 8th!! Can't believe it!! Just a few days ago I was so anxious about doing something wrong. ruby-mtl, you should get yours soon, since your packet 3 is logged 3 days after ours :)

How do you know when your packet 3 is logged? Also, during the visa interview, do they even look at your medical packet? I haven't seen anybody mention it in their interview reviews.

You can e-mail Montreal and ask, or you can call DOS, they know everything.

For the interview, they take your sealed medical packet and open it and review everything. Its definitely an important piece of the puzzle! You give to the person who takes all your paperwork. However, they don't want your x-ray... I don't understand why we needed to get one if they don't want it.

They def look at it; I think it would only be brought up if something was wrong with the medical.
