^^ That's interesting because the Packet 3 in November still had the old version.

On the appointment letter is says we need the Affidavit in duplicate, does that mean we need a photo copy or 2 notarized copies? We got one copy notarized, and can get another, but I am figuring they mean a photocopy?

Anyone know? I'm going to email them to check if no one knows, but I thought I would ask!

I only had one copy notarized, and brought a photocopy of it. That was sufficient.

Sweet! Thanks Jill!

I can't believe I'm at the final stretch!

Ya! You must be so excited just to have the interview part over, then can think about the big move!

I am very excited to get the interview over with. I feel like I still have a long time to wait as I'm not leaving my job until June to match our big client's fiscal year (how nice of me, LOL) but at least then I can start packing give my job notice and start the countdown!!

I'm also really pumped that we're planning a mini vacation to Montreal. Such a nice bonus.

Today's tidbit of information: I was wondering how the heck I'd carry the chest x-ray to Montreal (it ain't exactly a convenient form factor) so I emailed the consulate to find out if it was necessary.

Here is their response:

Unless there are any TB issues which the doctor discussed with you, you do not have to bring the X-ray, when your visa is issued then you should bring them to the US and give them to your personal doctor.

Hehe, that and the hospital will give it to you on a CD so it can be read by a hospital computer, but they are right, they dont need to see the xray at all...a lot of people threw them out LOL

LOL..I had the same problem, even got a mailing tube to put it in and bought different kinds of big envelopes and file folders..you name it I had it but ended up carrying it as is and they never ask for it....but some people put it in a big plastic bag , and they didn't have problem with the security.. I even saw a couple carrying the big box from Fedex..

Today's tidbit of information:

I asked Montreal if my sponsor can use the new I-134 Affidavit of Support form (found here) and they said it is accepted.

So just a heads up to anyone who has an interview coming up and/or working on their I-134's... go download the new one and you won't have to get it notarized.

*huge deep breath* Well, my fiance is making his final preparations for his drive to Montreal tomorrow. We are both a huge bundle of nerves, but we both have a good feeling about it, we can't really think of any reason that they would deny us so we are hoping for the best. I so wish that I could be there with him for the interview, but we made the decision that I would come up for Christmas instead....so it's going to be a nerve-wracking 36 hours or so for me here. So, wish us luck, send us some prayers/positive energy/good thoughts, and hopefully I will be posting a really happy message early Wednesday morning full of joy and capital letters and smiley emotes, lol. :star:

Good luck to you SK&SP!! I'm sure it will be just fine!

This morning we booked our train and hotel. I'm super excited. It was a bit extra to take the train, but it will be nice to just relax and enjoy some time together and not be driving. Our hotel also looks pretty swank so I'm looking forward to that.
