Hi Mrs. Rowe...had stopped in since Monday, very busy at work. I see that you already have the ball rolling on your DNA test...its just a pebble in the road and your family will be together shortly. As for me I am staying on top of things just waiting for the package to come on back so that I they can return my original document so that I can refile the petition. The situatiom make me 38 hot at times, I keep praying on it, because the father knows best. As the old adage goes "ANYTHING WORTH HAVING IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR".

Oneka...I was just reading back some of the post I see that you are coming my way. Welcome. I am praying that you will have your interview for next month keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Blessing to you both, I truly wish you all the best.

Yes, the ball started rolling the day of his interview. I wasted no time. The kit was sent out the next day and is already in georgetown. It will be delivered to Mercy Hospital tomorrow. and then my husband will go with them to the embassy on Tuesday, they will swab his mouth and send the sample back to the US via Fedex the next day i guess or the same day, i don't knwo how they do it. Mya and i will be swabbed on Monday. Once they receive the results it takes about 7 days for the testing to be complete and then the results are sent back to US embassy in Guyana via fedex. After they have that, visa will be issued. Whew. lol. The process would be shorter if it wasn't for the traveling time.lol.

As for your case, don't worry. Your new application will be approved. Just hang in there. God is on your side and this year, the wait time is shorter, so you will be done before you know it.

I know what you mean about the travelling time. It all good because everyday bring you a day closer to reuniting your family. Well I have gotten proctive and is working on obtaining the original documents that is needed instead of sitting here playing the waiting game. I believe it will be approved too, as it was explained to me by the time the interview come around again we would have been married a year longer...We waited over 2 decades, I will continue to be patient for a little while longer. Knowing that god is on our side is what keeps me going...for I know he wouldn't bring us thus far and forsake us. For with him all things are possible.

Yep. I have seen it where couples who are denied are usually approved the second time. So, i am sure you will be approved. It's good that you are not giving up. I will be right here to see you through the process. :star:

You are welcomed Nikita.

The DNA Kit has been delivered to Doctor Daniel's office already. They called my husband and he has to drop off his passport today at 1PM, then they actually go with him to the embassy on Tuesday to swab his mouth because an embassy official has to be there to see it being done, then they send the his sample back to the US via Fedex. Wohoo.

Okay, so Mya and i went to do the mouth swab yesterday. It was a little more to it than i thought. They use 4 of those q-tip looking things to swab both cheeks, you have to have photo id. They take a picture of you too. Michael is going to do his today, that will be sent back via fedex today i hope. If it can be in the US by the end of this week, it would be so nice. Then it will be done by the end of next week and on it' way back to Guyana and Michael's visa can be issued quickly. Aww man, hurry, hurry, hurry.lol. Okay, i am a little anxious. :bonk:

Oh my gosh, fedex has it already. wohoo. All they need to do now is deliver it to Genelex by the end of this week and they will be well within my estimation. I hope that they are done with testing by the end of next week.

Hi Ladies -

So nice to know there are others like me out there - I need to talk to people who understand my plight or I will lose my mind! Here are questions that COULD be asked on any interview, anywhere in the world. However, note, that in guyana they have no shame and ask some of the nastiest, most personal questions. I don't think that's necessary but nothing we can do about it. I am going to find a way to report that though.
