Congrats!! I have a question though... why did it take 5-6 weeks to get the visa after the interview? Is it because you didn't pay the DV a while in advance or another reason? I ask because my fiancee's interview is Wednesday & I'd like to have her in the USA before Thanksgiving.

Thanks nowhereman! yep, i only paid DV a week before my interview so it took a whole lot longer than i thought.. but it's ok, i think you'll be luckier coz they've been working on their backlogs already. the only thing that caused those delays are their backlogs so i'm sure your wife will get her visa soon... Good luck to both of you and God bless!!

what does backlogs means? and who are affected by it? is that the same with retrogression?

Regression, right?

Anyway, it means that they processing paperwork now that should have been done a month ago. Everyone is affected. Especially those with DV coz NSO has backlogs too.

hi everyone,

i just want to share my great great news.. around 1:30pm i got another magic text from Delbros telling me that delivery starts today, and at exactly 9:20pm now, i heard someone call from our gate, it was the Delbros guy! I GOT MY VISA!!! YAY!!! and here's my visa dance for you guys ---->:dance::dance:

For exactly 5 mos and 16 days of visa process, the long wait is over... I'll be flying to be with Paul soon (L) Though i can say this is really a very hard time for me to be leaving my family again and not being here to celebrate Xmas with them ( i've been away for almost 3 yrs and this will be the longest...and hardest... :crying: )

God answered my prayers, again i owe my BIG BIG thanks to HIM... THANK YOU GOD!!! :innocent:

My very supportive and loving family who's been there with me since God brought me here on earth, i thank and love you with all my heart.. :luv:

To my VJ family, words can't express how grateful Paul and I were to have you throughout the whole journey... Thank you so much for all your prayers and support, for answering our visa queries, for the never ending tips and for the goodluck's... :star::star:

Lastly, to you Paul... for being my "rock" and for being patient with me despite my "visa anxiety syndrome" i can't stop thanking God for having you in my life, you're my "once in a lifetime, happily ever after"... :luv: my love for you just keeps getting better each day, and from the bottom of my heart... I LOVE YOU.. (L)

For those who are still waiting, you'll be next in line for sure... It's good to know that USEM's working on their backlogs, at least we can call that "progress".. Our prayers are with you for a speedy and smooth journey, may you all get your visas soon...

congrats jen!!!

have a nice trip!!!

wow  wow  wow  Congatulations! I am happy for you! God Bless you and God Bless to the rest of Us here :)

Thank you!! We have had every delay possible... I originally submitted the I129F back in Dec '07! The 2nd I129F was approved Jul '08 & then when we got to the medical my fiancee was told she had to do a sputum test (another 2 month delay). We did pay the DV back in late Jul/ early Aug so it should be good to go. She interviews October 29th.

At this point I know the process inside & out but unfortunately learned the hard way.
