if ur coming on a cr1 or ir1 then it is only necessary to have your step 1 and step 2 (maybe clinical skills assessment) taken to get a residency program. u should have clinical skills assessment and step 3 before entering your 3rd year of residency. if u were coming on work visa then u would have to have all those taken.

do ur best to score high as this is a big factor in getting into a residency program.

my husband also works with filipeno residents but im not sure of the qualifications from the universities or if they had to go into more training or how they went about it.
