DV paid in AUGUST, Visa pending as of OCTOBER 7

Good morning people!

this list is getting longer Try not to worry too much peeps. As day pass by, we are getting near to the end of our journey. Don't look at the number of days or weeks that passed by, but on the perspective that our paper is nearing the top of stacks of file.

Words of encouragement and advise posted here for everyone are greatly appreciated! Have a good day.

My fiancee called the embassy today and he spoke to Grace. No developmet on our case...its still pending. DV is not there yet. Two weeks ago, when my fiancee called, we were given the date of OCTOBER 9th for any news or development. And now they told us that it might take.... UP TO TWO MONTHS from now on. Aren't we just so lucky that its this time wherein there are new sets of consuls. Their real problem now is the backlogs they have....6,000 applicants waiting for their papers to be resolved....and only few agents to look at them. Looks like it won't be a merry Christmas for me and my fiancee...

I was so depressed this morning after hearing this update BUT I got over it as of this time. Pretty fast huh? I think I only have two choices right now...to be negative or positive about it. And I chose to be the latter. From now on, I will focus on the things I should do before taking the plunge... I will focus on spending as much time with my family and friends here, saving money and taking care of the things that will help my marriage and my life in the US easier. Remember, its recession in the US and I should be thankful that Im doing great here in Philippines. When I get there, I will lose some privileges that I enjoy here....credit cards, vacation trips, maids, drivers, secretary etc etc.... My fiancee is with me in this one...he will focus on his work, preparing the apartment and on being a better man for me. Gotta be really busy so there will be no time to get depressed.

We really can't do anything right now but to wait and also make follow ups. Guys, I know its hard but its also only us who can help ourselves. Let's be strong about this. Did you all notice that Philippine forum is so quiet? Like almost all posts are all about feeling bad because of waiting for visa. Unlike before, all you see is "VISA IN HAND". This too shall pass... (right PW?)

it is indeed...but hey what's this christmas without your fiancee compared to so many christmases with our husbands in the future. We are talking about the rest of our lives. Let's hang tight!

wow i can't believe we have to wait for 2 months more??? i was looking forward for my son to have his first halloween trick or treating in US. oh well...life has to go on here in Philippines then.

Let's all pray for the new CO's to find their momentum and speed up in working on our papers.

NSO are way beyond from salvation! they are hopeless. lol

when my Mahal last talked to Lorraine she told Lorraine to give her a call this coming monday, to check about our SON case, i then told Alex, well what she gonna tell u this monday again " that u need to call her back next year" oh boy sound its getting true. i guess i will start putting up our xmas tree and xmas decoration now. i already have my visa but they cannot release it now cuz i need to wait for my son visa before they will release it together. do u think my son case will be still including at backlogs? or will take long Edited October 8, 2008 by bevs

i personally don't know bevs. We really don't know how the embassy works.

let's just hope they will consider to review ahead your sons' paper since yours is done.

Honestly I find your case weird as they have no reason to hold your visa. They should at least in good faith release your visa as they claim it to be finished. It's quite obvious that you will not leave your son behind. This way it's one visa down and one more to go. Hope everything goes well in your case and everyone else's case including mine.
