EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION CARD EXPIRED

My wife's Employment Authorization Card expired on July, her AOS is still pending at the NBC since July 18th when it resumed (originally sent I-485 on May) he driver license will expired on October 20th. What can we do??

- Apply for a renewal on Employment Authorization Card so she can reapply for her Driver license.

- Sit and wait for AOS to be approved, but to take the risk of AOS to take longer and then be with an expired driver license.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

It is recommended to file for renewal of EAD at least 90 days before prior card expires to not have a period of not be ing employment authorized.

If you applied for EAD with AOS after July 30, 2007 then there is NO fee to renew, attach a copy of I-485 NOA1 letter.

If you applied for EAD separately based on K-3, or before July 30, then there is a $340 fee.

If you applied for AOS after July 30 2007, then apply for EAD using code (C )(9 ) Based on pending I-485, and attach a copy of I-485 NOA1 letter, there is NO fee for this EAD.
