I agree as well. She wouldn't be where she's at right now if she hadn't used her brain to get there no matter what people say. I truly admire her for who she is, no doubt about it. BUT, I still think she doesn't have the experience needed to help run this country, plus I don't agree on many of her issues, so that's why I'm not voting for them.

Well I'm sure she's a smart lady. But if that interview is any indication it proves that there is often a wide gulf between intelligence and wisdom.

She has to do well. You can't choke on national TV.

She will. She kicked butt in the debates in Alaska. They say her ascent in Alaskan politics left a trail of dead political careers in its wake. She is a pitbull, make no mistake.

Biden is in for the fight of his life. The real question is, can he limit the damage she will do to him?

On his policy record? Or on his personal reputation?

I love these debates - got to make the other guy out to have all the moral capacity of a child molester.

She will go after his gaffes and his liberal record as Senator.

She will obliterate him on those points.

On policy though - she might have a problem.

Policy won't come up. And if it does, it will get sidelined.

Palin will stick to her talking points and steer the conversation.

Biden will be too busy trying not to ** up.

By the end of the debate, Palin will appear a credible candidate (once again) and the polls will narrow (once again).

I hope the debate goes well for both VP candidates...and then the focus will be on which ticket is offering the American people the best ideas to move this country forward.

There you go again, with your usual Communist claptrap!

That's why Biden's got to be gracious and not try to be sneering over her lack of foreign policy knowledge. Just stick with the facts, Joe...please.

That's why he will lose, because of sniveling cowardly advice like yours!

She will come at him like a pitbull who sniffed way too much lipstick and he will just lay back and take the blows.

She will look like a fighter, he will look like a faggit.

If there isn't much discussion of policy that makes the debate worthless as anything but a soundbite sideshow.

Personally I think the campaigns should have zero influence over the content and format of these events. Cutting out the marketers would remove a lot of the B/S from our political discourses.

Listen, smartalec - you want a fight and not a debate between the two. I suppose we should have them mud wrestle?

This is very true since wisdom is acquired through experience. Which again, I don't think she has.

If he's right about how the debate will unfold - all stuff about personal reputations and nothing about policy - that's pretty much what we'll get (just without the mud).

Back in the mists of time when GWB was actually popular I remember reading a news write up of a survey that was conducted about why people liked Bush. In short, it didn't have anything to do with qualifications or credentials - as much as that he projected an image of strength.

I certainly will be watching the debate very closely to see to what extent policy factors into the discussion. If Palin indeed does well - I suspect there will be headlines in the daily papers the next day, commending her on being such an "attack dog".

Life is war. I know that may come as a surprise to you, HIPPIE.
