We are only at the noa1 stage of our visa application but thought we should start preparing ourselves and gather up rest of the information we need.

we are not really sure what we need do to get do i need a police report and how do i get this?

I know we have to get photos emails phone records etc but not really sure what else we need.

We would ask our lawyer but they not too good at returning phone calls.

Police reports should be as fresh as possible but definitely less than a year old. I'd wait until the petition is approved.

Yeah and apparently they are quite quick to arrive, though you can request priority for more money.

My friend got her police report in 3 days so I am not going to rush to get it until we have had the petition approved

Read the guides as that tells you what forms will be needed for the next packed, so you can start preparing the information that you require

I would get another lawyer.......if he is not doing what you are paying him for, it is not that hard to do it yourself if you do your homework, read the guides and get help from the other VJ members, most of us seem to be doing it without the help of a lawyer as long as it is a straightforward case
