Hi All,

I just wanted to thank VJ and all here for helping my fiance and I get through this close to 8 month K1 process.

I almost hired an attorney... but I followed all instructions here and had no problems :-)

My fiance had her interview on Aug 27 and received Visa on Sept 16.

Counseling completed next day.

PAL NAIA-LAX Oct 6.

Just a few thoughts...

NOA1 - NOA2 5 months of pure torture

After that everything moved quickly.

Do the Doc Verification as soon as you get case number. We did DV on Aug 6 and USEM did not receive until Sept 5.

Then another 11 days until delivery.

No problem with the counseling but use St Mary's so you get everything done same day.

Need less to say we are very excited but at the same time it is bittersweet because we know many others are waiting, some who had interview before my fiance. The DV process is very slow. I can't stress enough to pay DV as soon as you get case number. I hate to say this but I almost think it would be better if USEM did not schedule interviews until DV is complete.

My fiance and I believed that after the interview we were very close to finished but ended up waiting another 2 weeks.

I wish everybody going through this process good luck and best wishes :-)

Craig & Theresa

CONGRATS!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLIES TO MY INQUIRIES IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED.

WE HAVE ALMOST THE SAME TIMELINES FROM DV TO INTERVIEW DATE BUT UNLIKE YOU AM STILL PATIENTLY WAITING FOR MY VISA TO ARRIVE. I FOLLOWED UP WITH USEM BUT STILL THE ADVISE IS TO KEEP WAITING...I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG THE WAIT WILL BE BUT I CONTINUE TO HOPE AND PRAY IT WON'T BE MUCH LONGER...

GOOD LUCK!
