yeah shes went through it already, as a matter of fact she did it well before her embassy interview, but someone told her a few days ago there was something else, some other thing but i think the person was either misinformed or just confused and that was what we both thought, so ill pass that along to my wife. Now our son he has his CRBA and Passport already but he still has to get and exit permit, can that be done anytime between now and when we fly for the US? We are probably gona plan for the second week of OCT for tickets .

If she has done the CFO seminar prior to her USEM interview, therefore she needs to go back there (CFO) for another seminar (Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar) and sticker to be put on her passport (this required after you get your visa)...

Since she's already has the seminar she only has to go back and get the CFO sticker in her passport. Took my wife about 20 minures to do so.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

Don't forget to save money for the airport tax and emmigration tax. My fiance gave me some money just in case I needed that to bribe my way onto the airplane. And then I had to bribe the folks in the airline office so that they will let me use their fax machine and their cellphone because they won't let me get on the plane with my electronic ticket. They want a photocopy of my fiance's credit card and his passport. I felt like I wanted to break down when they won't let me board the plane. -- Marie

well im flying there to accompany my wife and son back, so hopefully there wont be any scenarios like you described. You know Ive been traveling all over Asia and S E asia for years and have never had a problem with Imigration at the airports...as a matter of fact the only time i ran into problems was with an extension in Yogyakarta Indonesia. I had lived there a few years on a KITAS aka work visa and then i wanted to travel and so forth so i stayed there after my contract expired on a Social Visa, after the 3rd extension of the "social budaya" visa they deported me kinda sorta, well basically they told me i have to leave before my visa expired or i would be fined etc....or i could have payed the immig chief bout 300 bucks, i wasnt gonna do that so I just bought a ticket and left. but at airports ive never ran into a problem with immigration......and since ill be there with my wife and son i assume things will go smooth but of course ill be prepared nonetheless

At the CFO and at the airport it seems that many of the employees resent the fact that Filipinos are leaving the country and try to make things difficult for them. Jealousy perhaps or maybe they are just afraid of losing their jobs. It's good thing that you're gonna accompany your wife and son on their journey to America. That's the way it is. So just be prepared. Americans get a little respect, but sometimes also they get the big shaft. Goodluck!
