CR1 question

I just have a simple question, does the embassy send any paperwork to the person being interviewed prior to the interview. Of course i recieved a letter from the NVC once they had scheduled an interview and my wife has a copy of that, but should she recieve anything as well? Im just double-checkin in case i need to call someone prior to her interview next week.

No, you should be good. If you (the USC) was the beneficiary's agent, you should have received her original interview packet, which should have been some time ago. You should have sent the entire packet (keeping a copy of everything for yourself) to the beneficiary using a reliable express service (I used DHL) and she should have received that a few days after. The packet has very important medical exam info. Next step is to go to St. Luke's for the medical exam about one month before the scheduled interview. The CR-1 processing does not have a scheduled medical appointment, so you just appear with the interview letter and lots of money these days. (Last April it was $95 US.) I'm sure you know the rest of the drill. Make sure your asawa has plenty of valid relationship evidence and a good interview process guide. There were several good step by step guides for St. Luke's and the US Embassy available when we went through the process early last year, but not sure if everything is same now. Good luck!!

thank you so much, and yes i sent it through fed ex, she completed her medical yesterday and ill look for some of those interview guides you spoke of and go over it with her this weekend as her interview is on the 17th
