Hi All,

Just a note to everyone about my experience regarding the Document Verification Process.

My fiance had her interview at the Embassy on Aug 27. At that time she was given Pink Slip and told 7-10 days before she receive K1 Visa. Yipee!!! So I am thinking okay she will be here in USA end of next week.

Wait a second... nope... that won't be the case.

After reading the Forum here and reading posts concerning the consistent problems with Delbros, NOS, USEM and the Document Verification process I thought I better call the Embassy in Manila and get the status of the Visa.

Sure enough I was told Document Verification had not been completed and it could be 3-6 weeks before Visa would be issued depending on whether or not they needed any further Documentation.

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Unbelievable.

Can't do anything but wait again...

Sort of just venting here but thought I would let all know that passing the interview isn't the end of the road.

Good Luck to all who are currently going through the process :-)

Yes thats basically the case, you just have to wait. As long as you got a pink slip, your visa will come. We had to reschedule our plane ticket when Hubby first scheduled my plane trip to US 2 weeks after my interview.. I ended up getting my visa 3 weeks and 4 days later, and my flight was 4 weeks after my interview. Good thing we had Eva-Air where no fee for rebooking as long as we left before May 2008. Visa verification can take 3 to 6 weeks, and that's what US Embassy in Manila always says, regardless of the case, its an assurance for them that you will get your visa by the 6th week... I know people wait longer if they are in AR. Just be glad that you passed your interview. Good luck.
