I have been educating myself on the process since way before he left the United States actually. Nothing will take the loneliness away and we have already discussed what is going to happen many times when he comes back. Actually I dont have much extra time and I have been keeping pretty busy with school and my daughter but nothing helps me miss him less. We talk on the computer about three times a week when he goes to a cyber cafe in Haiti and I try to call him once a week at least. Right now he is trying to get a job in his country to get internet access so we can talk more but still none of this is the same as having him here and I am sure you can all relate to that. We used to talk to eachother every day since we have been together so going from that to now its a hard adjustment and I never expect it to get easier. Thanks for your advice!

It won't necessarily get easier (the waiting, the distance) but you will be able to cope with it better than before. I can tell you that it's very difficult being apart, and it will be until you guys are together, but for me, my fiance and I talk about three times a day and that helps. Also, it's easier for me to say that now, as my fiance is coming to the states in like eight days, but even when everything was still up in the air and the visa hadn't yet been granted, communicating with her helped me a lot.

I think the best thing you can do is stay positive and think that your fiance and you will be together soon enough and you'll never have to worry about the visa process again if the visa is granted.

The lonliness can get unbearable at times but you just have to think whats a few months apart when you'll have a lifetime together.

At least here you'll be able to vent, ask questions and have a good old chit chat with people who are going through the exact same thing as you. So saying that welcome and good luck!!

Just be happy with the now. Enjoy the time you have in your own country, it could be a while before you return again.

It is hard to wait and be patient, however in the the long run you guys will have the rest of your lives together.

You still have some waiting. I don't mean to sound patronizing, but get hobbies. I did and it sure helps.

Chin up.

Thank You soooo much for ur support. And finally someone is telling me that it doesnt get any easier! I def figured that out seems how it has been almost three months and yes not easier at all....It is really hard right now too because I have so much other not so fun things going on, plus the fact that he is gone. So everything is bad at once and not having him here right now to help and be there is tough.

I wish that we could talk 3 times a day i know that would help but neither one of us have the money right now to do that. I try to get a phonecard and call him once a week and he pays for the cyber cafe about three times a week and we talk for a small amout of 30 minutes sometimes 60 if he senses im upset he tries to stay on longer. Plus we are trying to start sending a letter at least once a week that way every week we will be recieving letters from eachother... and let me tell you that man is romantic and his letters are always love letters! He is amazing!

Well better go study for my tests tomorrow! Wish me luck!!!
