Way to check status online?

Hey all,

We're waiting to get packet 4 back from the Embassy... and yeah, now I'm getting greedy, but still... wondering if there's any way to check our status online (such as, interview date?)... I've called the fine folks at the State Department in DC, waited on hold for half an hour, and then had a discussion with a helpful visa specialist. The wait was more irritating than horrid -- but I did get weird looks from my co-workers when I had my ear glued to the phone for half an hour and wasn't uttering a word.

So, anyway... is there a way to check status online? Or am I just getting high off the possibility that we might be close to the end of our K-1 journey... :lol:

There's no online way to check. DOS is how I found out but they don't know that early...maybe two days before your packet arrives. At least that's how it was for us. If you have to wait on hold that long, it's not too terribly worth it. I always got through quickly. Never waited over a minute.
