CFO seminars---for philippines only

hi! i just heard this new requirement while i was in slec. according to the people i talked to -- before leaving the country, we have to attend seminar/s in commission on filipino overseas (CFO), this seminar requirement is from DFA. i still don't know if this is true, i will still call the CFO to confirm this.

yeah thats right we really need to attend the CFO seminar before leaving the country thats one of the requirement and they will give you certificate to proved that you attend that seminar.....

yep its true and its not a new requirement coz it has been going on for years...

If you are on CR1/IR1 the requirement is counselling(for Filipino spouses and spouses of foreign national [even if your spouse is a Filipino that has been naturalized]). Location is in Taft ave. opposite La Salle, Banco de Oro bldg. The other one is in Katipunan. Fee is P250. After the counselling they will give you the certificate and you must bring it to the CFO bldg in Quirino ave. There are tribike that will bring you to CFO. Bring P400 for the CFO sticker on your passport. I'm done last aug28.

I went first at Quirino ave. but mali pala dapat daw counselling muna. Eh sinunod ko lang naman yung instruction na kasama dun sa visa packet. Saka palang binigay ung papel na my info about counselling ano bayan! Sayang pamasahe.

yes its true. and i think you need to pick up the CFO sticker once you have your visa
