I called NVC and was told my petition was sent to Manila. Should I call the embassy and ask if they received it? Or should we just wait for them to send a letter? What is best?

hi there, please wait for the letter from NVC that says your MNL case number when you get to have that, that's the time you can call the USEM na for your interview date appointment..

The NVC will send letter to petitioner and inform petitioner that they forwarded the papers to USEM. However, you can call USEM also to set interview schedule after let's say a week that NVC sent the papers to USEM.

Yes they said that. Just wait at least a week before you call the USEM to set for interview schedule. (Just to make sure that USEM received the papers already from NVC before you make the interview appointment).
