Hello readers,

I have a question regarding the Adjustment of Status thing,I'm confused about it.

We have no much fund this time to file for the Adjustment of Status,we plan to file it later.

i arrived here in US last june 25 and we got married last july 21.

according to the policy for a k1 visa that we must get marry within 90 days upon my arrival, and so we did,is my status here in the US is fine even if we are not filing for AOS soon?

Is it ok to file for the AOS later when we wll have enough fund or budget for it already?Or will it affect to my status here if we will just file the AOS later?

Thank you for your time reading my specific question, your pleasant answer is highly appreciated.

You should not have a problem as long as you know that you will not be able to leave the continental US until after you change your status and you will not be able to work either until you either change your status or you get your work permit.

Hi,

Thank you so much for the brilliant information.

We plan to file the AOS on Nov. or Dec.

Your answer is highly appreciated.
