I have applied for N-400 naturalization I have received a noa for this and it says they are processing my case and it will take 365 days to do this. My question is I sent the application to Vermont, but presume that when I go for my interview it will be at Newark, which time lines do I check Vermont or Newark? Asking this as Vermont says they are processing from Jan 2008 so this isn't 365 days.

Hello you

I see you've joined the ranks of the rest of us waiters! What a wait it is too.

To answer your question, it's your district office, the one where you go for interviews etc. Mine would be New York NYC office. The processing dates still haven't changed from last month either - sooo tired of waiting!

Anywho, give me a call sometime this week if you get a minute, maybe we can meet up, I'm going back to work next week so it may be a bit harder then.

Speak soon

Jess

Its your local office that you check. I got my NOA and it says 365 days too. I also filed with Vermont, so we will have to wait and see.

We were told 288 days from Nebraska, but the interview was done in 107 days, St. Paul is saying N-400's in July of 2007 are currently be processed, we applied 31Mar08, but still awaiting the oath letter, if it's not one damned thing it's another. Wife talked to her friend in the Chicago office, she also had her interview, but has been over a hundred days and no oath letter yet. That 288 days may not be so far off after all.

They both agreed to saying the oath, that was done at the interview, but somebody wants to make a big deal out of it. The big deal is getting it over with, so after a long five years can say you are done with the USCIS. We fear we may still get a RFE although I have no idea of what more we can send them. At this point they can send over a video crew and shoot us making love together or maybe they would like a hundred notarized letters of affidavits.

Still like to look at my grandfathers papers, all two of them, first at Ellis Island when he got off the boat, second one in Chicago, three months later when he received his USC after taking a brief night course.

One thing I do not like about law makers is that they make too many new laws without even considering if these laws are doing any good or not. If we do not pay my property taxes, house we be auctioned off and tossed out in the street, if we do not pay income taxes, feds and the state will be all over us, if we don't pay our utilities, they will be cut off, if we get a divorce, greedy attorneys will be all over us, if we commit a crime, will be in jail if caught, so why does the USCIS have to get involved in all this stuff? Make it so complicated, just drag it out, so you have to wait and wait and wait.
