she got case compleate on her CR1 and her case is at the embassy.

so hopefully with a little smooth talking she might get somewhere!

I was bit surprised when my brother told me this, eventually Amex folks told my brother about this. i asked him to call the embassy to verify it. I don't believe anything Amex people says except your visa is here.

I know what you mean.. those chof**ks at AMEX told us to apply for a visitors visa then AOS when he got here. He got his itnerview date before I even left Pak for the visitor Visa.

When I got back to the states and joined VJ, I learned we basically just threw away $120!

We cancelled his Visitor Interview.. did not want the denial on our record....

Well here is the update from the senator's reply to Islamabad. It is the same canned response that we get when we email them.

This case is undergoing necessary administrative processing as part of the clearance procedure. Visa applicants affected by additonal screening should expect delays before the case is concluded. It is difficult to predict the amount of time that the clearance process will take.

Once the administrative processing is complete, we will contact the applicant.

Hope this information is helpful.

So that was my news for today. I will contact DOS again later this week and see if they have any changes on our case.

Just want to give everyone a good news.....

My brother picked up his passport with the visa from Amex yesterday. he called me last night, he felt much better after looking at the visa. He said this visa made me wait and kept me away from ym family for voer 12 years.

Now he will be looking for next week available flights to USA. everyone here on thiss ite thankyou very much, you guys were great help and insha'allah soon everyone will be united...just keep your faith in Allah. he will have his mercy on all muslims. And make sure you must remember Allah at all times, whether things turn out to be in ur favor or don't.

Dood I am glad your brother has his visa in hand. So maybe the embassy will be open. I told Ishteaq and not sure what to think of Islamabad. I know it is in Allah's hands no matter what. Let us know when your brother is expected and his POE experience.
