In my family here in the States we typically only eat rice when eating Chinese or Thai and that is my Mom only, I've never seen my Dad eat rice, he's a typical "meat and potatoes" guy. After living in PI/Manila for three months I've grown more accustomed to rice. I know when my honey arrives we'll eat rice as much as we would in the Philippines, maybe twice a day.

I am also excited about cooking "American" meals for her such as a nice, juicy steak or baked Turkey with all the trimmings or Lobster. Bottom line, we'll share foods from each others culture because I love her chicken adobo, pancit and other dishes.

Thoughts on your favorite Pinoy or American dishes/foods?

My favorite Filipino dish is Arroz a la Valenciana. When I was in New Mexico, my favorite was top sirloin steak marinated in mezquite sauce and grilled over hot lava rocks ... and of course with potatoes and Bush baked beans and my favorite chardonnay!:thumbs::thumbs:

aka Señorita Tessa, Señora Bonita, Mariquita Linda, Muñequita Linda, Amor Perdido y Chaparrita Chula!

Goshy sis, when my husband brought me nail polishes, I was so shocked when I knew that 1 pc of those cost $8.
