My gosh...

when i called NSO just to verify if they are already verifying my fiance's docs...they gave me this reason, "Mam confidential po iyon. sa US em. kayo tumawag". Man! Do I need to speak in straight English just for them to accomodate me? mannnnnnnnnnnnnn.

And then afterwards, I called delbros just to verify that the text message that my fiance received last aug8 is true. its saying that they have already forwarded my fiance's docs to NSO last aug5. but they hung up on me.

D*ng... :(:bonk::crying:

I feel sorry for your ordeals with delbros and NSO ladies but didnt it occur to you that you're just adding stress to yourselves?call centers are not there to answer for your queries because i bet they knew nothing about that and it's not their business to give in to all your questions.if there were people in the past who were able to be given out answers maybe they were just among who got lucky, maybe at that time there were only few people who were calling them but since the news has spread out and a number of people are calling them i bet that was the reason why they dont entertain such calls anymore.

just wait and see, soon you'll get what you're all been waiting for.

I see no surprises here about the comments on DELBROS or NSO or any other government organization. The attitude at most government agencies here is never one of service to the customer! After a year of living here, I will be happy to go back to my own bureaucracy in the US. Someone on VJ noted that we should just be patient because calling NSO and Texting DELBROS probably will accomplish nothing. I think they are correct, you cannot inspire customer service in an organization that does not have consequences for slackers!

We of course made the mistake of calling, got hung up on, and when we did get through were then left on hold (actually just the phone laying on a desk where we could hear the non-business conversations taking place) and finally after I asked for a supervisor, was told that "Richard" was the ONLY person who could answer our questions and he was "out of the building"! It is obvious neither DELBROS or NSO owes anything to the individual customer, so my advice would be....don't bother. Just go to your interview and don't be surprised when you get a white slip to wait for document verification no matter how long it has been since you paid DELBROS. Getting things done here in a manner that approximates efficiency is pure luck!

I can't get too angry with DELBROS and NSO, after all it was my own government that established this ridiculous document verification process. It seems that lack of efficiency is not a trait exclusive to the NSO.

Good luck to all who are in the DELBROS...NSO...USEM waiting loop. Hopefully it will work out for you, but if not, just remember the one thing we are all experienced at is waiting!

In the end, at least near the end, when we are safely in the U.S., I intend to do some letter writing to my elected representatives about the USEM which is funded by my tax dollars. I think if all the USCs who have problems with the Embassy did the same thing we might see some changes. Just complaining here does little but increase blood pressure! :bonk:

I just want to share my own experience...I called the Embassy last August 5 just to give them time to input whatever they need to input in the computer re my DV..since NSO told me on august 4 that my DV was released to embassy on Aug 1...But when I called the embassy call center (since direct line 301-2000 don't entertain local calls) on AUG 5 they told me that my DV is not yet with them. But when I tried to call their direct line 3012000 on AUG 8, I was able to talk to Ms Grace (who was kind enough to give me the details, though she told me that it will be the last time she'll give the details to me). She told me that they received my DV last Aug 4, since it was released nga by NSO aug 1 (friday). It means that their call center is not updated. One more thing is that I have a friend (whom I met during my medical) our papers both got finished with NSO on aug 1...but her visa was approved and printed on aug 7, while mine is for furhter review by the consular officer for 2 WEEKS!!!! Had my interview last july 3 and my friend on july 17, we both got a pink slip only. I also met some1 here who has the same interview date as mine, july 3 and she was also told by the embassy that her DV was done aug 1 and delivered to the USE same date and received by USE on aug 4, and that her papers is for further review by the consular officer for 2 WEEKS. I don't get it...others get done in 1 week or less...I don't know if my conclusion is right. IS it because my friend's husband is AMERICAN, while mine is FIL and also the girl I met here in VJ her husband is also FIL?????

And I think DELBROS and NSO people should have training/seminar on Telephone Courtesy...hmm... :D Masyado na mahaba if i-kwento ko dito experience ko but same as yours.... :D

I think it is a sign that they (DELBROS/NSO) know that they are failing in their jobs and the pressure is on.

After reading the horror stories here about DELBROS and NSO, I steadied myself for the worst knowing how hard it is to deal with extremely bureacratic people who feel that you owe them a favor instead of them working to serve us, the taxpayers.

I texted DELBROS (at 0917-6221949) inquiring about the status of my document verification with the following sms message:

MNL2008xxxxxx WHEN DID YOU FORWARD MY CASE TO NSO? I MADE THE PAYMENT ON JULY 29, 2008.

After 30 mins, this is the sms I received from DELBROS:

Please be informed that your document is already with the NSO. The turnaround time of NSO to produce a result is within the range of 1-4 weeks. US Embassy will receive result from the NSO as soon as it is ready. Thank You.

Not satisified with this, I called up the NSO (at (2) 9267333), a girl answered and after informing her that I was inquiring about the status of my document verification for the U.S. Embassy, she told me that I needed to speak to Richard. She then put me on hold (which is leaving the phone on the desk and calling Richard's name). After 3 minutes of waiting, Richard answered the phone and after informing him that I was inquiring about the status of my document verification for the U.S. Embassy, he asked for my name and when I made payment. I gave him the details he asked and after a minute, he replied that they received the Document Verification on August 1, 2008. I then asked him regarding the turn-around time and he replied that it normally takes 2-3 weeks. I said thanks and hung up.

All in all, I'd say my experience (this time) was generally pleasant. Hmmm, I guess I must be one of the lucky few.

But, I will still be following this up, again next week since it has already been 10 days since they received the Document Verification Application and it still is with them.

Here's to speedy processing times with DELBROS and the NSO, and of course for our the release of our visas.

Guys, I had the same experience as you...I paid delbros around june, and I trusted them to do their job, after 2 weeks from my interview last july 18, I was already wondering why there is no visa yet when infact i paid them in advance to expedite the process. So I texted Delbros first to know where is my documents, and the replied saying that it was in the NSO already, so okey..I call NSO and asked for RIchard, and Richard confirmed that my documents is in them, but what was so bad to me is that this Delbros courier service sent my documents to the NSO last July 23 and I paid them June..Now I am still waiting..

well we have nothing to do...but wait..

As much as I am pissed off is an understatement..

good luck guys
