I'm sorry you have to go through this. This is just another reason why it is relly best to have medical at least a month in advance (if possible).

More than the visa process being delayed, I am hoping and praying that your biopsy will be negative.

Holding you in my thoughts and prayers. (F)

Hi pink! I just read your thread today. I'm saddened of your experience in your medical exam. Anyway, that will soon be fine. Biopsy is just a confirmatory test. God knows what is best for you and your hubby. God bless you! Don't lose your faith and hope.

Hi pinkie, sorry to hear about this part in your visa process. But cheer up, soon you and your husband will be together. :)

On the second day of my medical, the guard asked me to go to the record section. i knew it from there that there is something wrong. I got scared. I thought I'll go under psychiatric test since i have a very little scar on my left wrist, but i was wrong, It is worse than that. The guy from SLEC called my name and referred me to a dermatologist in St. Lukes' Medical Hospital and i knew it from then that it has something to do about my small birthmark.

Then so i met the dermatologist in St. Luke's, she is 70 yrs old but looks like late 50ish and pretty. I showed her my birthmark and based on her ocular inspection, it seems that it is just an ordinary birthmark. She gave me options:

OPTION 1: NO BIOPSY. She will state in the clinical impression that i have asymptomatic (showing no evidence of disease) nevus (birthmark) based on her ocular inspection. Payment costs Php850 (consultation fee).

*If the doctor (P.E.) in SLEC is contented with the clinical result, then i can have my medical result cleared on Aug. 18th. But then she said that there can be a tendency that the CO might want to ask for the final diagnosis of it on my interview date (Aug. 27th) if so, then i need to go under biopsy and it will take a couple or three weeks for me to clear my medical result.

*If the doctor (P.E.) in SLEC is NOT contented with the clinical result and wants to have final diagnosis, then i need to undergo biopsy and will cause me to move my interview.

*If the doctor (P.E) in SLEC and the CO didn't ask for the final diagnosis then that's good. But then the dermatologist told me that she really thinks that the doctor will REALLY gonna ask for the final diagnosis because SLEC is very strict.

OPTION 2: WITH BIOPSY. Payment costs Php850 (consultation) + Php2000 (BIOPSY).

*In this case, i have something to present to the doctor (in SLEC) or to the CO whether they ask for the final diagnosis or not and it won't cause my interview date to be moved since i'll get the result on the 20th.

I chose option 2. BTW, the dermatologist told me that it won't cause visa denial (i really hope so) whether the result of the biopsy is cancerous or not since it is not a communicable disease . She also told me if it is cancerous (knock on wood) then SLEC will give me a choice whether to have it remove here in the Philippines or in the US.

O man! i never thought that this birthmark will be a bump in our journey lol! I mean it never bleed nor encountered any itchiness since i was a kid. And the size of it didn't even changed plus its not even located in a sensitive part.

I won't deny that this is a saddening thing but my hopes are still up and my husband and I won't stop pursuing to be together for good. I feel so blessed because i have a husband who is very patient, loving and supportive in spite of this trial and that is why i am loving him more and more everyday. I so love every bit of him.

NOTE: I shared this medical experience of mine thinking it might be a help as a reference to other VJers or to future ones.
