My personal opinion is :all down to colour of their skins - on one side we have an highly educated/amercian success story and dynamic young contender and on the other side we have someone who thought in Vietnam (that 's the only credential I can find in favour of McCain).

I'm not buying it. Flip the colors around, I still wouldn't vote for Obama. I don't vote for people based on how much they look like me. Do you?

According to the polls many of those not wanting to vote for the Democrat are doing so based on Race. Sickening, yes. Surprising, not really.

In that particular subject, the race card is usually plaid out against someone- not for someone. See the polls.

I think where some confusion might lie is that anyone who is caucasion who doesn't vote for Barack is doing so for those reasons. I don't think anyone really believes that, do they?

Yes there is confusion. There is also behavior involved that can best be seen by gauging voter turnout and the context from which certain individuals execute their beliefs.

Are we saying now that the Nazi's were eliminating jews simply because they were rich these days?

Are we saying that all jews were rich?

Let's just say that yes, it was a scape goat, but the reason behind the jews being 'picked on' was along racial lines not simply because they were percieved as rich. The jews were singled out for abuse across europe, not simply in the then Germany which at least somewhat explains how there was so little outrage at the treatment of the jews for the first few years of nazi rule. The people of Europe and beyond might not have known that the jews were being exterminated, but they did know that they were being stripped of all their rights and privelages in the german territories.

So, I am not quite sure how the treatment of jews suddenly changes character to being about class envy and not racially motivated.

As for the 'whitey need not apply' stuff, well, we aren't going to get a sensible discussion about the good/bad aspects of giving minority groups access to a level playing field in the work place so we just get the usual 'white guilt' 'white's are now targeted' blather.

The truth of the matter is that Jews have handled of money for ages, although it wasn't always their doing. For centuries, most occupations were barred to them, so the only option was to become money lenders and eventually bankers. Unfortunately, this made many dislike Jews even more, since it was perceived that "Jews controlled the gold." After some time, a sizable number of Jews became reasonably wealthy (some more than others) and because Jews were disliked to begin with, their affluence only fueled those antagonistic emotions.

Are all Jews rich? Of course not. In fact, many of the Jews who were rich before the Holocaust lost their entire fortunes due to Nazi endeavors.

As for racial motivation, it's not quite that simple. There's no such race as "Jew." Judaism is a religion and one who practices it is considered a Jew. Anyone can become Jewish. There have been and are many Jews today who were not born into Jewish families, but converted later in life for various reasons.

That's the difference, you see. While anyone could become a Jew, I cannot become Hispanic or Black or Asian. There's no conversion process and even if there were, it would be fraudulent, since I could never and would never "fit in." Being Jewish is like being Christian or any other religion; you can belong to it and practice it, but it's not a racial quality.

Wrong...not all wites are racists, but... white + X = racist

But once again, that's assuming whites (more than any other group) can be racist. This is simply not true. Anyone can be racist, regardless of their color, race or ethnicity. It's merely a misconception that leads many to believe that whites are (or at least, can be) racist while other groups are not and only the victims of such practices.

I said not all whites are racists, talking in the USA can you prove the red statement?
