Ok...I know I am being paranoid and I know that all anyone can do is speculate, but I hate not knowing anything about my case or why my fiance now requires administrative processing. The only thing in our case that I can think of that was "abnormal" was that my fiance has some past mental health issues when he was a teenager, which have since been resolved. He revealed this during his medical and the doctor ordered a psychological evaluation (I think he was contractually obligated to do so) and the psychologist told him that she wrote something positive in her report.

Could this be a reason for AP or if that was a reason would it have been an immediate denial?

I'm just trying to be a detective here and figure out what is going on!

That is most likely not the reason. . .keep being a detective, but try your best to get your answers from the DOS inquiry line. . .they do get updates no matter who is doing the AP. . .each operator is different and all it takes is one friendly one and the right tact to get the answer you need. Most know more than they are willing to tell you. . .don't be mean or rude, just figure out how to talk to each one. . .I got more and more information. . .the more I was able to let them know that I already knew, the more they were willing to tell me.

Also, my Senator was able to get me preliminary information. . .though they weren't able to speed things up, the repeated inquiries let the DOS and the consulate know I was around.

I was surprised to find that each of my inquiries made it directly to my husband's file which they opened in front of me at the border. . .progress is slow, but make your presence known!
