Does Sponsor need birth certificate for Interview

We have our interview next month and I thought I read somewhere in the papers that I (uS Citizen) need a birth certificate as well. Is this correct or did I read it wrong? I haev a passport, is that good enough, or do I need to get my Birth Certificate?

Also, do we bring pictures with us? I read some say yes, and others say no...

Yes, on personal experience, the interviewing officer requested both of our birth certificates not photocopies ok?

they only ask for her birth certificate, but I would take both, and we took many pictures of us and her family and they looked at all of them.
