My wifey thinks she is a parasite

I registered without my wife's knowledge. I bet some of you knew her as she met some girls recently in a get together.

Here's the story.

When I met her, she was on the pick of her career. Needless to say that she was earning so good for herself. She was suppose to have a training somewhere in Europe when I proposed and she just cannot say no. She gave up her fruitful career because of me. As of the moment, she is not working and she feels like she is getting dumb. She oftens complain about her brain being corroded and that she is now a bummer. As a husband of course I would support her so I am sending her money but she is not comfortable spending it. I know she has her own savings from her previous job but I would like her to use the money I am spending for whatever she pleases to do. I told her to go out for shopping but she said it was so sickening. It made me happy knowing that she was chit chatting with some of the girls in here but that doesn't made her forget that she is too bored. She told me that she felt like a parasite just sitting around and wait for my remittance (I do not even think she is spending it).

I guess it has something to do with the very lucrative offers she is receiving from International Companies. Is there any 4 to 6 months job there (day time job) and would let her go for vacation on October when I arrived? She said call center would be a nice option but it is in graveyard shift so it means we cannot talk everyday. I do not want the idea that she would work on night shift.

i just want to say that i totally understand your wife's situation. i had to quit my job last march because of the petition. and i never agreed to receive money from my fiance just because im not used to it. i told him i have my own savings that would cover for all the expenses. dont get hurt if your wife doesnt seem to appreciate the remittance. some women just feel more independent and comfortable spending for themselves. (nothing against those who receive remittances, pls dont get me wrong).

for a time, i also felt useless just staying at home. this is the time your wife will really need your support, not financially, but emotionally. i took part time jobs related to my field, and it made be less bored. im not sure what field your wife is in, but i hope she gets work for the meantime.

and lastly, i suggest you tell your wife that you registered in vj. she will be really pissed if she finds out for herself.

I have a strong feeling that the wife already found out... I hope it won't create too much conflict though and I hope you guys could have a heart to heart talk and reach a better compromise.

Maybe she can make use of her remaining days in the Philippines spending quality time with everybody especially her immediate family if she doesnt want to shop.
