i've just got my marriage contract annotated last june 23 at NSO,

i decided to get a copy of cenomar a few days after just to check if my records will be cleared.

i got a copy of cenomar now and it appeared na they still have records of my previous marriage. ( no note regarding my annulment or anything)

we asked a staff there and they told us "ganyan tlaga yan ma'am, iaattach mo lang yung annotated MC and Annulment decree)

i'm just worried coz we've just filed for i-129f.

does it really work that way?

or should i have it cleared s NSO...

help! :crying:

Yes it works that way. Your annulment will be annotated on your marriage certificate and thats it. The annotated MC is already proof that your previous marriage has been dissolved. A CENOMAR ( Certificate of No Marriage ) as the meaning indicates, is only for those who have never contracted marriage in their lifetime. Once you contracted marriage you will no longer be eligible for a CENOMAR, instead, the annulment of which will be annotated on your MC.

The most important thing is that at the time you filed the 129, the decision in your annulment case has become final and executory and the annotation been done, hence at the time of the filing, you have the legal capacity to enter into marriage with your fiance.

Goodluck and goodluck on the journey.

Hi even if you are annulled it will still show in your cenomar that you we're married before..What matters most is the annotated Marriage contract from the NSO,annotations that your marriage was annulled, shown at the right portion of the marriage contract.

God bless on your journey..

Thanks Myla! You took away my confusions.

and Yes, i have my MC annotated before we filed.

It's what we used as proof of termination of previous marriage.

Again, thank you so much.

Still have a long journey ahead, i'm so glad VJ is here.

Salamat!
