Hi All,

Just thought this would be nice to share. I am a B2 currently adjusting my status. My BIOmetrics will be this coming Friday (25th July). I still do not have my EAD card and so I can not get my SSS and DL yet.

Here is the thing, my hubby is leaving the country for about a month and so we were alarmed because I will be left here as I can not travel outside the US still. So it will be hard for me to go to places as I can not drive yet. We went to DMV office here in Sacramento and was told that any I-797 (Notice of Action) and a Rejection letter from Social Security offcie will enable me to apply for my Driver License no need to wait for my EAD.

NOTE: SSS issues this letter while you wait. So to those who are eager to drive while EAD/GC pending with similar case as I am (Adjusting from Tourist Visa) go ahead and apply for your driver's license.

I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot.
