Unemployed

My fiance and I asked about the employment/unemployment, and the importance of it. The advice given, was to put unemployed on the form, but I came straight from India and 3 days later got my job back. Technically, I won't start working until May 22nd, but I have my job back and intend to have the forms sent out within the next couple of days. Should I sill put unemployed on the form? I know it is important when filing the affidavit of support, but what should I do for now?

You could put unemployed for now if you want. But just my opinion, I would probably wait those extra six days to be able to put my job on there.

I had just returned from living with my fiance in the UK for six months when we filed my application. I just put 'not working' but in my 'how we met explanation' i had an extra page with the details and put at the end. "he has now returned to the U.K. and I am currently seeking work in my field while we go through this, the I-129 process". And we got our NOA2 without any problems. Hope that helps. I think it only matters for the actual interview/I-134.

I would write "Recently rehired by XXXXXXXX, Inc (or whatever). Start date: 5/22/2006" It's the truth and it's better than saying "unemployed" which you technically aren't anyway. Then list this as an old job as well so they know you were rehired by them.
