marriage certificate sent to the phils?

hello!

this question is directed to all those pinay vjers who are already married here in the US. did you have to send a copy of your marriage certificate to the phils NSO to have it recorded there? i got married last july 1 and am wondering if my records in the phils needs to be updated. thanks to those who will reply :-)

I plan to have my passport amended and report my marriage as well in DC.

I had mine reported in the Philippine Embassy in Washington DC at the same time I had my passport amended to change my unamarried name in my passport. Just follow the link EDRIZA gave, all the info is there. Goodluck

hi there roxy,

yes it needs to be updated.. and right after our wedding we'll have to go the nearest Philippine embassy in california for the passport to be updated and send a marriage certificate to the Philippines as well.. so the marriage will be recognized..
