Hello All!!

My parents(co-sponsors) already completed and notarized their I-134. For Questions number 11, they checked the box INTEND and stated:"room and board for one year".

They are willing to do whatever it takes to be a co-sponsor... Should I have them do a new I-134 and change the answer to "K1 visa process for permanent resident"??

Thanks everyone!!

(1/25/06) Harold lives with Carmen for 3 months in Peru

(4-11-06) NOA-2 RECEIVED!!

(5/23/06) Interview: Received Yellow Slip. Awaiting third police report to be submitted, then Carmen gets her K1 Visa!!

fable,

Checking the 'intend' box v. 'do not intend' is not a problem. The only issue that I can conceive of is that, having done so, a truly ####### consular officer might consider providing only room and board to be insufficient - there are other expenses in life.

However, a consular officer who is that ####### may also not be happy with 'do not intend' on the basis that it's a K-visa application.

fable,

I can't offer a recommendation. I've no idea how the consular officers in Peru look at this particular item.

All I can say is that the anecdotal evidence in general is that this doesn't seem to be a critical question. I haven't seen anyone report a problem arising from how this question was answered.
