Hello! I am applying for an AOS after I got married on May 24th.

They ask to get a Medical Examination. They say that if you are k-1 visa holder, you don't have to, because you just got one in your country. They do ask you for a vaccination supplement that you can get by going to a civil surgeon and showing your medical examination results. The problem is that I never got the results of my medical examination. They gave me a sealed envelope that I had to give in immigration when I came to the US, and they gave me nothing back. I don't know what to do.

Something else:

I don't know where to translate my birth certificate!! It is now in Spanish and I don't know where to get a "certified translation"... does anybody know?

Thanks a lot and may God bless you all!!!!!!

If you are competant in both languages you can translate... If not then do a google search you will have much to choose from or try a language department at your local college.

Don't worry about your medical exam if it is less than 1 year old they will use the one turned in at the POE that was contained in the "envelope"

The instructions for completing I-485 explain translated documents:

Translations. Any document containing foreign language submitted to USCIS shall be accompanied by a full English language translation which the translator has certified as complete and accurate, and by the translator's certification that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English.

A translation you do yourself will not meet these requirements.

Incorrect... It is done every day... If the OP meets the standard they certainly can do it themselves.... Many on VJ have done this successfully.

I stand corrected then. I thought that it had to be a translator with a certificate or stamp of some kind.
