Husband traveling

My husband is really missing his family and needs to take care of some business in Egypt. He has his 2 year green card right now. What do we need to do (paperwork etc.) wise for him to travel back to Egypt in the next few weeks? Also, how long is he allowed to stay there because he will be taking his tests for school to recieve his degree. We appreciate your help.

I don't think he needs anything but a plane ticket and as far as I know, a GC holder can spend up to 6 months out of the country. At least that's the way it was for my ex.

My husband just left for similar reasons - you don't need anything if you have the GC and you can stay up to six months out of the country before you have to re-enter.

You don't have to worry about transit visas either if he is connecting through Europe. My hubby had a 10 hour layover in Amsterdam and didn't have any problems.

Yup all he has to do is get on the plane - just remember for him to carry his green card with him because he'll need to show it several times.
